Poppy:

Flora:

Both eats 2 x per day:
morning ~6.30am and evening ~6.00pm
Each feed:
1 brick of raw food, spoon onto lick matt (poppy) and green puzzle bowl (flora)
Raw food stored in second drawer of freezer, thaw before feeding (I usually thaw 2 bricks after each feed for the next feed)
They need to sit before meals are placed on floor and then given the release word “ok” so they can eat.
They both sleeps in crates usually but are also welcome in the bed - totally up to you but be warned, they are bed hogs.
NOTE: flora is currently exclusively sleeping in the bed but Poppy is still happy to sleep in her crate in the lounge room
If you want to sleep in the crate, follow these steps:
Sit
Down
Wait
Okay (release from sit, wait or when they’re being fed)
Heel (for walking)
Here or come (return when off lead)
Leave it
Drop it
Enough (if they’re pushing the boundaries)
Off
Out
Both go on group dog walking with hot dogs 1 x per week (Thurs)
Pick up is usually between 12.30-2pm and drop off is usually 3.30pm-5pm
Hot Dogs have access to the lock box so no need to leave keys
Leave harnesses on dining table and if raining leave a towel out.
They loves a good morning walk
Harnesses and leads are in the kitchen. They have seperate leads but they can be configured into a double lead like this:
Poppy hates putting on the harness but just ask her to wait - she won’t fight you but she definitely won’t help! She may run away but I promise you she loves walks.
Do not walk on day when they go to Hot Dogs: Thursday
Both are great off lead in the park
Suggested off lead parks:
Dickson Park (behind apartment block):
Note: Dickson park currently has a big mud puddle which Flora loves to fully submerse in, so visit at risk of Flora needing a full shower after

When leaving at home alone, leave the balcony door open enough for them to access the grass for the toilet
Close doors to bedroom, office and bathroom
They’re happy home alone for 6-8 hours (as long as they’ve had a walk that day). If you’re leaving for a few hours, give them a bully stick or chicken chew stick treat (keeps them occupied for a while, max 1 each per day).
Poppy likes to sit at the dining table with you when you eat - she’ll probably be clambering to get onto a spare chair. She’s pretty good at just sitting there with you.
She cannot be trusted around food, do not leave her alone with food on the dining table or lounge room
She loves sitting under the bathroom vanity while you get ready or have a shower.
Flora is still in a bit of puppy mode. She will eat shoes, socks, books, anything she can get her teeth on, so keep anything chewable/valuable out of reach. She may get into things she shouldn’t (like chewing the couch cushions) - don’t stress if this happens!
Flora also loves a little bark at people passing by and sometimes gets a little scared if people are out in the foyer area of the front door. If the barking is too much she responds to telling her to stop, stomping your feet or clapping hands loudly.
They love each other but they do squabble every now and then (sometimes over a horn), this is flora being a teenager and testing the boundaries with poppy. They will sort it out but obviously step in if poppy gets distressed (rare).
